I have known Liz Sutcliffe for over seven years and she has always managed to find ponies and horses to suit both my daughter and other customers that I have taken to her. I’ve known Liz Sutcliffe for 20 years, during this time Liz has sourced quality horses and ponies for riders of varying abilities. Liz always tries to find the right mount for the right rider.

Many of the horses found by Liz have turned out to be true Superstars competing in all disciplines at all major National and International events. One such horse was Cameron a wonderful dun horse found by Liz as a youngster and carefully produced. Cameron was sold to Tina Gifford as a future international event horse. Cameron lived up to expectations and competed at Burleigh and Badminton and later sold to a French international event rider.

Liz goes to a lot of trouble to find these quality horses and many of her client’s come back time after time. This in itself is a testament to the trust that people place in Liz’s ability to find a genuine sound animal and very importantly someone they can seek advice from in the longer term should this be required.

It was a very hard decision for me to have to let him go. He was very special and taught me a lot - he will remain in my memory always - but you, through talking to you only a few weeks ago gave me a feeling straight away that I was making the right decision and I will not look back upon that.

Hi Liz

Spirit was yesterday at the Winter Champs. We got 6th in the CHAPS non native under 15hds. We got through to the evening performance and he took the electric atmosphere in his stride including the millitary bugler!!!!!!!!

Spirit is the most fantastic pony, he has a lovely temperament and has the ability and attitiude to match.

We hope to qualify him for HOYS and RIHS.

He also loves jumping as he proved around Somerford Park!

Just a little note to say Blackie - by Ferro (now Sooty - my friends have horses and dogs called Blackie and it got too complicated!!) is doing really well.

We are currently training with Joanna Jackson and his work is fantastic, even with flower pots around the arena trying to get him.

He has a brilliant loving temperament, he always talks to people who are on the yard and everyone loves him.

If I was ever looking for another horse I would go straight back to Liz and I have no hesitation in recommending her to friends who are looking for horses.

Dear Liz,

I’ve had Harvey AKA Wonderboy a month now and just thought I’d let you know how we are getting on - which is just fab!
Both my instructor and I love him to pieces.  He’s sensible, laid back and extremely trainable with a fantastic nature. We are having to stop ourselves from asking too much of him too soon, he’s just so balanced and straight for a four-year-old it’s hard not to get carried away. I know that you broke him and he’s a credit to you.

There’s more than a few people on my yard that are dying to get on him - not a chance!
We’ve started hacking him and he’s so brave in traffic but that’s cos he doesn’t see it – he spends most of him time on a hack with his quarters stuck in the road looking in people’s windows and gardens!!
He loves being groomed and fussed over and everyone already has him down as
a proper mummy’s boy – in a good way! He’s so affectionate and not got a bad bone in his body. We’ve bonded already and I couldn’t be happier.

I think you sold me an absolute bargain Liz and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

We are aiming to take him to his first ever competition in September – I have high hopes! Will let you know how we do.

I Bought Ceaser Z six weeks ago from Liz, having had a 19 year break from competing and not having sat on a horse for 6 years, finding the right horse to get my confidence back on but also one that would go on to compete seemed like a tall order so after looking at Liz’s web site and then visiting her I trusted her to find me the right one and Ceaser has exceeded all my expectations.
 
He is so well mannered, a perfect gentlemen. He is completely unflappable in traffic,He moves beautifully, is so calm and laid back to jump, never stops or touches a pole, he is admired by everyone that visits the yard and his temperament is so calm people cant believe he is only 5.
Everyone who meets him is so impressed by him i am frequently asked where he came from and I cant recommend Liz enough. He is kept on Tuffy Tillys yard (event rider) who trains us both and I wish Liz could see how far we have both come in six weeks and am looking forward to going to our first showjumping outing at the end of the month.
 
Liz is obviously very good at matching horse to rider and if i ever wanted another would go straight to her.

Hi Liz

We bought Wilfret from you last Autumn (2006) and thought we should update
you on how he is doing.
We backed him Christmas 2006 and Alastair has only had time to ride at the
weekends and lessons every 3 weeks or so.  But now with a new trainer and
more regular lessons these past few months.

He went to his first ever dressage competition on Sunday 16 December 2007
(Trailblazers) and won both classes with 68% in Prelim 7 and then 70.41% in
Prelim 18.  We are delighted.

Boy can he jump too and loves it!  Weekend before last, he jumped a narrow
log with no wings etc, planks and saw and jumped fillers for the first time
in his lesson and last weekend he jumped them all again and a water tray as
well!

He is an angel to handle and you can do anything with him.  He is totally
relaxed about us clipping him and was from the first time and great with the
farrier.  His feet are so strong and such good shape, he has remained bare
foot since we got him.  He travels in the trailer on his own or with Karino
very happily and eats from the minute he gets in, to the time he gets out!

People always ask us where we got Wilfret from and we always recommend you
and if we did ever want another horse, we would certainly come to you 1st.

HI Liz

We took Wilfret to his first Affiliated Novice yesterday and WON the class overall with 69.17% !!He got 64.48% in the second class too. Overall very pleased with him ……….again. All in very strong windswhich didnt bother hinm at all. He is really growing and filling out - every time we go out with him someone comments on how he has grown and filled out ! He is  at least 16.3 now and filled and muscled to match! He is absolutely superb to do anything with and a joy to ride every time.

Hi Liz,
Crystal and Toy Boy are doing exceptionally well. He is so brave and honest with no vices at all. He is an absolute pleasure to own and ride. Just a short email to let you know how Varios (Oliver at home!) is getting on. I purchased him from you the end of August. He settled really well, hacks out like he has been doing it all his life, even over the motorway bridges. He is very quiet to handle, and has been an absolute joy to have around. He went to his first dressage competition 2 weeks ago, did a prelim and won with 69.6%!. We hope to do a few more and then affiliate him in the spring and do some young horse classes. I will send some pictures once we get going. I will certainly recommend you to anyone who asks when looking for a horse.
